Beautiful Blue and White handwoven vintage tapestry called "Nejlikan" (Carnation) designed by Barbro Nilsson in the 1950s for AB Märta Måås-Fjetterström, Båstad, Sweden. Designer initials BN in the lower left corner and original label on the backside. In a very good condition with age appropriate wear.

Barbro Nilsson was the artistic director of the world famous Märta Måås Fjetterström Studio in Båstad, Sweden, from 1943-1970. She designed many iconic patterns for the studio and is one of the best known Swedish textile designers of the 20th Century.
